Stress and fatigue can affect anyone; even little kids get stressed and feel fatigued after long hours of play and fun. It could be impossible to say that you don’t feel tired or fatigued after a long day, unless you are living under a rock! There are so many things to do in a day; so many activities to do and so many tiring ways that you can expose yourself to stress.
Stress is basically the result of anything that can make you tired, anxious and uneasy. Luckily, there are several ways that you can reduce stress and fatigue regardless of the cause or the reason for these conditions. Here are some of the most popular ways to reduce feelings of fatigue and stress:
1. Take a breather; as they say, all work and no play make Jack a dull boy. We all need time to relax and take a break even for just a few minutes. You can resume work after a coffee break or after a short chat with your friends to help reduce tension and stress.
2. Verbalize what you feel. When you have someone to talk to or even through chat, call, text or instant messaging, you can easily reduce stress and help reduce tiredness and fatigue as well.
3. If you suffer from too much stress and fatigue at home or in the office, try creating a stress-free environment where you can retreat if you feel tension brewing or fatigue closing in. At home, your recluse can be your room, study or your kitchen where you can be at peace. In the office, you can designate a seat near a window in the cafeteria or a place in the garden or lawn where you can get some air and relax a bit.
4. Too much stress and fatigue can be hazardous to your health, try relaxation techniques like yoga, meditation or massage. Treat yourself every weekend or even once a month to a full body massage to energize and revitalize yourself. Attend a yoga or meditation class so you can channel your stress away reducing fatigue and removing tension as well.
5. Try a warm bath or a warm shower at night just before you go to sleep. Drink warm milk or herbal tea to relax, reduce stress and remove fatigue effectively. You can do this routine every night making this time your “me” time.
6. During weekdays, steal away from the daily grind of family life and work by taking your family and kids to the park or to the beach. Just a day out in the sun can help all of you cope with stress and reduce fatigue effectively. Make this a monthly routine for you and the whole family to enjoy.
7. Encourage the family to have a quiet time at night to make everyone relieve stress and reduce tension and fatigue. Have a one hour or two hours quiet time just before everyone goes to bed. This will improve children’s bedtime habits as well.
